I think to find the last civilization, you don't need to look far from Europe, specifically the Balkans. The Celts, who originated from the Balkans, were the ones who ushered human civilization from the Ice Age into the Iron Age. They made the first swords, tools, weapons, and everything related to them, but yet, credit has been given to the Greeks and Romans. Even genetic maps show that the whole of Europe is predominantly Celtic, around 70%, which makes sense, since when the ice cap withdrew from the south towards the north, it attracted the southern population in pursuit of fertile land.
