How do you learn like you do? I am a teacher who is always trying to learn new things, but you just seem to remember everything. Other than supplements (unless that is the answer), what do you do to remember everything you hear or read (from what it seems)?

Man, that's a great question. So, for me, I really rely on audiobooks a lot. I find that I retain information way better when I'm listening. It's kind of like my brain just locks into it, you know? I might have ADD or something because when I’m reading, my mind can wander off, and I’ll just have to backtrack a bunch. It’s like, “Come on, Joe, focus!”

And I’ve noticed I have this thing where I have terrible memory for names, but my recall is solid when it comes to topics I’m passionate about. Like, if I care about it, it’s right there at my fingertips. I always say, "I've got a convenient memory." If it’s uninteresting, it just gets tossed out.

I also try to jot down notes or taglines that are important, kind of like a mental organization system. It’s like you’re a squirrel remembering where to stash your nuts—your brain has to map things out! Ultimately, by engaging with stuff I love, I’m building this mental library that keeps expanding. It’s a discipline, man.

So, keep your mind open, find what clicks for you, and just keep loading that brain with good stuff!
