When I call January 6th an insurrection, I say it from the point of view of the powers that were in power at the time did not respect the rule of law or of peaceful protest, it could be argued. To that you add physical desecration of the seat of US Government both in Senate and House by individual people. It became an insurrection because of these factors, as well as because the intent of the day for most was to encourage the ignoring of certified election results and the rightful election of the next president. Legal means of protest were exceeded, so it became an insurrection, treasonous to our principles.

Adam is in a weird, jump-in-too-soon mode with his own personal jump-points. And so far, this is a shame, because Joe seems ready to discuss things THIS TIME (unlike previous visits with AC).

24:50 Adam is against ranked-choice voting. Noted that he said it could be used for the general election and we might have gotten Elizabeth Warren as president. But the reason this is not correct is that each state has its own winner, and sends electors. So, each state comes up with a winner the way they want to (in a way which does not violate anyone's rights). FEDERALISM! Yay! So Adam is implying the total popular vote would be ranked-choice, and this is pure bullshit.

31:30 Adam caves on his Colbert and Stewart were part of a conspiracy to soften the lab leak news. I don't think Joe is really right that Colbert was sabotaging Stewart, though, but I also do not know of any evidence about Stewart and Colbert conspiring. Plus, Jon Stewart is NOT liberal per se... he will put anyone's feet to the fire... witness all the 9/11 bullcrap that he testified about.
