But the electric city on big island makes sense since there is a volcano that can produce geo thermo energy without carbon emissions and have it run 24/7. It’s a tragedy hawaii hasn’t utilized this more laying electrical line to island to island from the big island to get our electricity. Instead we rely on oil to be shipped in and burned to rely on fossil fuels and depend on another thing to be shipped in. Not to mention by shipping in oil to produce our electricity, we have one of the most expensive $ per kwh in the nation.
