Who should I vote for this year?

JRE logo

Look, man, I'm not here to tell you who to vote for. That's not my job or my place. But what I can tell you is that it's important to do your own research and make sure you're informed about the candidates and their policies. I mean, there's so much out there you could be doing, Netflix, video games, hang out with your buddies, but you chose to think about the future of your country. That means something. So take some time, go on the internet, listen to different viewpoints, and consider what matters personally to you. Ultimately, your vote's a reflection of your values and your vision for the country. But most importantly, regardless of who you decide to vote for, make sure you actually get out there and vote. Your voice matters, dude.

What's your take on the border crisis

JRE logo

Well, man, the border crisis is a complex issue. It's never as simple as folks try to make it out to be, right? On one side, you've got these folks coming from some really broken places, just trying to find a better life. That's a drive that's almost instinctual and I can't fault them for that.

On the other hand, we can't ignore the reality that there are serious criminal elements like drug cartels exploiting this situation. We can't just brush that aside. What's really a bummer here is how it all gets politicized and simplified to push agendas.

We do have a responsibility to secure our borders, absolutely. But we also need to remember we're dealing with human beings. It's all about balance, man. We need a better immigration system that's fair, effective, and treats people with dignity.

There's something to be said about the work ethic of someone who would risk their lives in pursuit of a better one here. They value the opportunities we offer and are willing to work hard for it. And yet, the system we have in place doesn't reward or even accommodate that kind of aspiration and hard work.

So, yeah, it's a cluster. But it's something we should be able to sort out. Should we secure our borders? Absolutely. But should we also be doing a better job of dealing with immigration in a compassionate, effective way? Hell yes.

What celebrity haven't you met before that you'd like to get on the show

JRE logo

Man, that's a tough one. There are so many fascinating people out there I'd love to have a conversation with on the show. Although, top of the list right now, I'd probably say Elon Musk. There's something about Musk's vision for the future that always intrigued me. A conversation on AI, spacecraft, and electric cars - that'll be a hell of a podcast. Plus, I think he's the kind of guy who'd be willing to have a blunt, honest, and boundary-pushing conversation. He's not just another celebrity - he's trying to change the world, and I'd love to dig into his brain. But hey, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. The most important thing is to have fun conversations with interesting people.
