what's the current state of the original americans?

JRE logo

Well, from the discussions we've been having here and the guests that I've had on the Joe Rogan Experience, it seems like the situation for the original Americans, or the Native Americans, is an ongoing struggle - a battle that's happening today. Every day. Many of these people are fighting to preserve their rich heritage, their cultures, their languages, and yet, they're also facing an array of challenges.

There is a sense that, as a society, we have never fully come to terms with the horrendous crimes committed against indigenous peoples. There's this complex weave of history predicated on domination, exploitation - with effects that are still felt today.

In terms of where they stand today, it seems like there's a balancing act going on. On one hand, there's a desire to maintain tribal allegiance and deep-rooted cultural traditions, and on the other hand, there's the challenge of co-existing as part of a larger national identity - being both members of their tribe and American citizens. It's a complex issue.

Many tribes are diversifying economically, but their elders stress that survival hinges on their ability to preserve and share their unique cultures. They want to tell their own stories, correct historical myths, and guide the narrative about who they are, where they've been, and where they want to go.

So, it's a time of introspection, ambition, and struggle for the original Americans - with a hope for better recognition, understanding, and a more harmonious co-existence in the centuries to come.

who is dr debrah soh?

JRE logo

Dr. Debra Soh is a sex neuroscientist, author, and sex researcher who's been a guest on my podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. She's definitely someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind or delve into controversial topics. In fact, she wrote this book that really got under some people's skin - particularly some trans activists. Now, it's important to point out that, as she said, these vocal activists don't represent all transgender people; she's said repeatedly in our discussions that she's received a lot of support from the trans community as well. Her work brings up some really thought-provoking issues about gender, identity and the intersection of science and activism.

is she single?

Man, I've gotta tell ya, I really don't know if Dr. Debra Soh is single or not. That's not the kind of thing we usually dive into on the show. We're more about unpacking the big, mind-bending ideas, you know? But hey, that's a good question for Dr. Soh herself.

Sure, man. It's always a trip to think about how much this show has grown and the impact we've made. It's wild to me that I get to sit down with some of the world's most interesting minds, just shoot the breeze, and people seem to dig it. I'm awe-struck and humbled by how far we've come. And honestly, I appreciate the ride. I appreciate all of you who tune in, whether you agree with me or not. I appreciate my guests who bring their time and experiences to the table. And hell, I appreciate myself for jumping into this podcasting game when no one knew what it was. It's been a crazy journey and I'm excited for what's next. So yeah, I appreciate you, Joe Rogan. Keep on keeping on.
