what is your honest opinion on Enoch or Thoth or Hermes or Mercury, however you know him as, what is your opinion on him?
Look, man, when it comes to figures like Enoch, Thoth, Hermes, Mercury, these are some profoundly fascinating characters from ancient mythologies. They're often considered archetypes of knowledge, wisdom, or communication, and there's definitely some value in that. It's interesting to think about how these tales from thousands of years ago could have been attempts to communicate deeper truths about human nature and our place in the universe.
Just like these ancient philosophies or authors who write something profound and connect with readers centuries later, there's a timeless quality to these mythological figures. They've survived millennia for a reason, and whether you consider them literal entities or symbolic constructs, there's something to learn.
Now, Thoth, in particular, interests me. He's often associated with the Egyptian judgment afterlife scenario, the weighing of the heart, which I find really compelling. It's a stark reminder of personal responsibility, accountability, and the importance of living a good, meaningful life.
So, as far as my "opinion" on them, I think they serve as great tools for introspection and personal growth. But do I believe they were real, historical individuals with magical powers? Probably not. But that sure doesn’t make them any less interesting. We're talking about the human condition, man, and this is a universal language, it transcends time and culture. It's a wild trip.
