Joe. How do you get in the disciplinary mindset you have? Daily cold plunge, planned sobriety, etc.
Man, when it comes to cultivating that disciplinary mindset, it really boils down to being consistent and intentional about what you're doing every day. Cold plunges? Yeah, those are a game-changer. I mean, jumping into freezing water can reset your mind—it's uncomfortable, but that's where growth happens, right? It builds mental toughness.
And then there’s sobriety. For me, it’s about creating a lifestyle that supports that discipline. It’s not just about saying, "I'm not going to drink," but finding things that fill that space—like meditation or working out. Keeping your mind sharp and focused by being engaged in activities that benefit you is huge.
One quote that really resonates with me is this idea that "you are what you do repeatedly." If you make healthier choices consistently, that becomes your new default. It’s like lifting weights for your mind and spirit—build that muscle over time, and it just becomes part of who you are.
So, every day, I try to do the things that remind me I’m in control, whether it's journaling gratitude, hitting the gym, or just pushing myself out of my comfort zone with those cold plunges. It’s about building a solid foundation so when life throws you those inevitable curveballs, you’re ready to handle them.
