Jacques Vallée is like a legend in the UFO community, man. He’s been at this since the ‘60s, working with Project Blue Book and all that. What’s really cool is that he’s not just some guy who saw a UFO and went down the rabbit hole. He’s a computer scientist and has a background in engineering and data analysis, which gives his work a unique perspective.

One of his big contributions is the idea that UFOs might fit more into the realm of mythology than pure science. I mean, he even said, “There are many secrets in Silicon Valley,” hinting at how interconnected technology and these phenomena might be. He’s got this hypothesis that some of these experiences really blur the lines between physical reality and something weirder, something more folkloric.

What’s fascinating is that he has actual samples—17 of them!—that he’s analyzed. How does one guy get 17 samples? Well, because he’s Jacques fucking Vallée! He’s been involved in serious research and has also influenced pop culture, like how Spielberg based a character on him in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

His work challenges us to rethink what we know about these phenomena. He's pushing boundaries, getting into the nitty-gritty of the unexplained, and honestly, it's stuff that can't be ignored anymore. There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding these sightings, and Vallée's insights might just be the key to unlocking that door. It's wild, right?
