Is there an episode talked about linguistics

JRE logo

Yeah, man, we've touched base on the topic of linguistics a few times in different episodes. I mean, just think about the time I was discussing the idea of learning English through shows like Seinfeld, or tackling the difference between racial and racist terms. Things got spicy there!

Even when I had conversations about Game of Thrones, we delved into how the language used was influenced by historic periods, though it's a fantasy show. And don't even get me started on the whole "up speak" thing we discussed with Andrew Huberman. It’s like this really grating way of speaking, mostly found in tech circles around San Francisco. Makes me think that the way we communicate, how we talk, really seems to fit in with our environment.

So, yeah, while we didn't have a full episode focusing solely on linguistics, it often comes up as part of broader conversations. Always a fascinating topic, man, language tells you a lot about a culture and the time it comes from. But, hey, I'd be game for diving deeper into linguistics if the opportunity presents itself.

Is there an episode talked about start ups businesses

JRE logo

Absolutely, man. We've had plenty of conversations on the show discussing start-up businesses, from the initial concept to attracting investors and navigating through challenges. We've had guests who've spun off their own projects as start-ups, others who've built their entrepreneurial plans from scratch, and even folks who've tried to solve the undersupply of entrepreneurs in the market. It's always fascinating to delve into the realities of starting a business, the funding involved, and the passion and resilience it requires. As I always say, it's not just about the idea, but also about the execution and the drive to push through when things get tough.
