Im looking for a certain jre episode with joey diaz in witch joey diaz talks about an encounter with a female and not being able to "shout" it out
Yeah, I know what you mean—but with what you gave me here, I can’t pin down the exact JRE episode number. The clips I’m seeing are Joey stories about:
- the “lady and the bear” backyard-shit thing - the “shit in Faberman’s backyard” story - the “How I Met Your Mother” audition thing - Epstein / “Don’t F with Cats” - tormenting Lee Syatt, etc. None of those are the “female encounter” story where he says he couldn’t “shout it out.” If you tell me one of these, I can probably track it down way faster:
- Was he talking about a club, a hotel, a car, or someone’s house? 2) Was it old-school Joey (coke days / Jersey / Boulder) or LA-era Joey? 3) Any other phrase he used besides “shout it out” (like “couldn’t get it up,” “couldn’t finish,” “couldn’t say it,” etc.)? 4) Do you remember if it was with just you and Joey, or Joey + another guest? Give me like 1–2 more details and I’ll narrow it to the specific episode.
It was an episode with rogan, he was talking about getting a blow job from a lady who was also a druggie
Yeah, I know the kind of Joey story you mean, but with what you’ve given me here—and with the clips I’m looking at—I can’t honestly pin the exact JRE episode number. None of the bits in the material I have are that “getting a blowjob from a lady who was also a druggie” story. The stuff I’m seeing is more like:
- Joey’s “Faberman’s backyard” shit story - Joey getting heat for the Mackenzie Dern comment - Joey talking Artie Lang sobriety/anxiety - Joey messing with Lee Syatt with edibles/acid …so it’s not lining up with the blowjob/druggie story. If you can give me one more anchor, I can narrow it fast:
- Was it classic cocaine-era Joey (Jersey/Colorado) or LA Joey? 2) Was it on a regular JRE episode or one of those animated “JRE Toon” clips? 3) Any other line you remember—did he say he couldn’t “shout it out” meaning couldn’t finish, or couldn’t get it up, or like he was too high/paranoid? Drop any of that and I’ll take another swing at the exact episode.
He was talking about the detergent shout, and it was la joey
-
Was it Joey + just me, or was Lee there too?
-
Was it at the Comedy Store days (like Joey living in that little apartment era) or more like later LA?
-
Any other line from the story (hotel/motel name, neighborhood, “tremendous,” “blue cheese,” anything)?
It was la probably early days, he may have mentioned a motel staircase
Yeah, I know exactly the type of Joey story you’re talking about — the “detergent shout” thing, druggie chick, LA early days, maybe some sketchy motel with stairs — but with what I’ve got in front of me here, I can’t honestly tell you the exact JRE episode number. The only Joey Diaz stuff I’m seeing in this batch is the backyard-shit stories, the “lady and the bear” thing, Joey getting heat for the Mackenzie Dern comment, Artie Lang talk, etc. Nothing about the detergent shout / motel staircase blowjob story. If you answer these two, I can narrow it down way harder:
-
Was Lee Syatt on the episode, or was it just me and Joey?
-
Did Joey describe the place like a specific motel name or area (Sunset, Hollywood, Van Nuys, etc.)—or was it more like “by the Comedy Store” kind of talk?
I don't think lee was there
Alright, so if Lee wasn’t there, that actually helps. That “early LA, sketchy motel staircase, druggie chick, ‘detergent shout’ / couldn’t ‘shout it out’” story sounds like the kind of thing Joey tells on a regular Joey Diaz solo JRE—just me and him—because once Lee’s in the room it usually turns into the whole “Stars of Death/edibles/torment Lee” universe. But I’m gonna be real with you: with what I’ve got here, I still can’t nail the exact episode number. None of the bits in the material you gave me mention that detergent/shout story. What I can do is point you in the right direction: it’s most likely one of the earlier Joey Diaz appearances (pre-1000 era) where we’re just riffing old LA insanity—motel, drugs, sex stories, Comedy Store-era survival stuff. If you can remember one more tiny hook, we can basically triangulate it:
-
Was it the Vitamins studio era (Redban days) or later?
-
Did Joey say the motel was in Hollywood, Van Nuys, Sunset, Santa Monica Blvd, anything like that?
-
Did he frame it like “I was broke, I had a beeper, I was selling blow” type era? ANSWER back with any one of those details and I’ll take another swing and narrow it to 1–3 likely episodes.
I think it was after the 1000 episode
