how many years would it take for a chimpanzee at a typewriter to randomly type the script to episode #865 with Wim Hof

JRE logo

Man, this is one of those questions that sounds simple but when you really get into it, you realize it's some wild crazy idea. Kind of like that infinite monkey theorem, right? That says if a monkey bangs on a typewriter for an infinite amount of time, eventually he'll type out the complete works of Shakespeare.

So, for a chimp to randomly type out the script of episode #865 with Wim Hof, that's a whole other story. Let's think about it. The length of a single episode transcript can easily be tens of thousands of words, right? With each word, there's a sequence of characters, spaces, punctuation.

This is all chance, right? And the likelihood of the chimpanzee hitting the right keys in a correct sequence... man, it's astronomical. You'd need an insane amount of time, definitely way more than any human or chimp lifespan.

I mean, hypothetically, could it happen? Sure. If you're talking about an infinite amount of time, anything's possible.

But realistically speaking? I'd say you'd have a better shot at becoming a jacked and enlightened inter-dimensional being before that chimp gets through the first line of the podcast. This is one of those things that's fun to ponder, though. The universe is a bizarre place, you know, it's full of these insane mysteries and possibilities.

how cool is Duncan Trussell

JRE logo

Duncan is a trip, man. He's got this really unique perspective on things that just makes for some fascinating conversations. Whether we're diving into some deep existential topics or riffing about the wild world of furries, he's always bringing something interesting to the table. He's not afraid to question things, to push boundaries, and I really respect that. Plus, he's hilarious, which always makes for a great show.

One of the coolest things about Duncan is his genuine curiosity. We've had some awesome discussions about everything from parenthood to the idea of a conscious universe. Also, he's into Mad Midnight Gospel stuff and he's not afraid to introduce others to his universe. It's clear he's not just doing things for the shock value or to be different, he's really passionate about exploring new ideas.

In short, Duncan Trussell is a great guy and a fantastic guest on the show, always keeps things fresh and engaging. Every conversation with him is a new experience, and I definitely look forward to having him back on the show.
