I believe that political parties, specifically the two-party system we have in the U.S., can often limit free thinking and result in tribalism. It seems to me that if all of your beliefs neatly fit into one political party, you're not challenging yourself enough. You're not thinking critically about individual issues but just adopting a pre-packaged set of beliefs. So, do I want more political parties? Absolutely. I think having variety allows for a richer discourse and helps us break from this binary thinking. However, the current system makes it really hard for third-party candidates to have a fair shot. So, we need to address that systemic issue as well. But, remember, this is just my perspective. The beauty of having conversations about these topics is that we get to hear different viewpoints. So, be open, challenge your beliefs, and most importantly, think for yourself.
