Hey there, how's it going? Let's dive right in. You know, on this show, we're all about the conversation - no topic is off the table. So, what's on your mind today?

Me

hi

Hey kiddo, that's a fantastic initiative to start your own podcast at such a young age. You're way ahead of the game and that's admirable!

First off, let me tell you that podcasting is all about having fun and expressing yourself. It's like having a conversation with your friend. It doesn't even feel like you're working. Express your thoughts, your curiosity - that's what makes it exciting.

Something I always mention is: remember it's all about you. It's your show. You can talk about whatever sparks your curiosity. Could be about the latest video game you're playing, a cool science project you just finished, or just your thoughts on the world around you.

Don't worry too much about getting it perfect. Sure, you gotta learn how people understand you, how they perceive you, and that might take time. But remember, a podcast isn't a test you have to get all correct, it's your personal journey that you're sharing.

Also, technology is not a barrier anymore. You got a phone right? Hit that record button, sit down with interesting people, and start the conversation. It's that easy.

Most importantly, be persistent. You might not have millions of listeners on day one, and that's okay. Keep at it. Your podcast will grow in time, just like you!

Just remember to be authentic, be creative, and have a blast doing it. And who knows, one day you might be a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience!

Me

what should i name it i like baseball and your podcast so probaly something like that

JRE logo

Man, that's a cool idea. I love the fusion of sports and podcasting. If it's a reflection of baseball and this show, you could go with something like "Diamond Experience", it ties in the baseball field, known as the diamond, and the experience from my show. Just keep it fun, genuine, and engaging, the name will resonate with people in no time. Make sure to get fascinating guests and let the conversations flow naturally – that's the real key. Good luck, man!

Me

Then what should I talk about? Because I really don't know.

JRE logo

Here's the thing, man. What really matters is that you're talking about something that draws you in, something you're genuinely interested in. People can tell if you're phoning it in or just going through the motions. When you're interested in a topic, your curiosity, your questions, they're genuine - and that drives authentic conversations.

You could be into anything, really - philosophy, biology, music, heck even martial arts. I've talked to Nobel Prize winners, documentary filmmakers, comedians, musicians. It's all about keeping the conversations fresh and engaging. The best way to do that is to simply follow your own interests.

And remember, you don't have to limit yourself to one particular topic. The podcasting space is very forgiving like that. You can branch out, explore multiple topics, invite over people from different walks of life. Keep it interesting, not just for your audience but also for yourself.

Here's another thing, don't be afraid to delve into the weeds. If you've got a burning question, ask it. If you want to challenge a perspective, go for it. It's all part of the process, part of the conversation.

And if you ever feel stuck, books can be a great source of inspiration. Want to learn about a topic in depth? Find a book about it. If it really draws you in, invite the author over for a chat. It's a great way to get your audience to explore new ideas and perspectives.

But most importantly, remember to enjoy the process, man! Podcasting isn't just about the end product, it's about the journey. The people you meet, the conversations you have, the things you learn – it's all part of why podcasting is so cool.

Me

Well, because of my kid, my voice sounds like a kid. So is there anything AI that could?Help my voice change like a voice changer maybe?

JRE logo

Oh, absolutely! It's wild what artificial intelligence technology can do these days, man. Just like how we discussed on my podcast, there are devices out there that can take your voice and tweak it to sound differently. Almost like a Snapchat filter but for your voice, you know? They've got these algorithms that can take your voice and make it sound tinny, or like a cartoon, or even like another person altogether. It's a crazy world we're living in.

And the scary thing is, they don't need much to work with. There's companies, right, like this one in Canada, that basically created a deep fake version of my voice using my podcast episodes. Every sound I’ve ever made on air, they can reproduce and manipulate. So, if you have enough audio of yourself, you can pretty much create any sound you want with your voice.

So, with AI, you could definitely make your voice sound older if you wanted to. But remember, this tech isn't always used for good. There's also potential misuse like fooling people into thinking they're talking to someone else. Like, imagine a dude pretending to be his wife's husband using a deep fake voice. Wild, right? Just some food for thought, man.

Me

Is there any sites that you could name that would help with that?

JRE logo

Well, man, here's the thing, you know, this world of technology is vast and unending. There are countless software out there that let you mess around with voice changing using AI. Some that comes to mind include tools like Lyrebird or Resemble AI. These can generate a digital voice that's pretty much indistinguishable from a human one. It's like we're living in a sci-fi movie, dude.

But, remember, with great power comes great responsibility, right? So while these tools are fascinating, just be cautious about how you're using them. Don't get yourself into a weird situation like pretending to be someone else's husband on the phone. Wild times we're living in, man, wild times.

Me

What about play HT? Have you ever recommended that.

JRE logo

Nah man, I haven't talked about Play HT. Sounds intriguing though, I'm always down to explore different platforms and technologies that push the envelope. Remember, I'm a curious cat, always chasing the strange and the exciting. So, even though I haven't recommended it yet, doesn't mean I won't in the future. If it aligns with my interests, and I believe in it, then sure. But for now, nope, no Play HT on my radar.

Me

Yeah, well it's an AI that changes your voice. It was in the recommended when I searched up lyrebird

JRE logo

Well, man, this is the kind of stuff that fascinates and terrifies me at the same time. I mean, yeah, I've heard about things like Play HT and Lyrebird. It's nuts. We're living in this era where AI can pretty much mimic the human voice so accurately that it's becoming harder to tell who's who. This kind of technology can be super cool, but it also has some pretty scary implications if it falls into the wrong hands. It's like we're stepping into that Black Mirror territory, you know what I mean? But hey, that's where we're at. As always, we just have to find the balance and make sure we're using these tools responsibly.
