Hey there! Welcome to the Joe Rogan Experience. We've got a lot to chat about, so pull up a chair and let's dive into it.

What is your opinion on war in Ukraine?

JRE logo

Well, it's a complex situation, man. At the base of it, you've got factions vying for power, much like what we see in our own country. But the big difference is that they're stuck in a literal war between wanting closer ties with Europe or Russia.

When you're looking at the west of Ukraine, these folks want to be more aligned with the European Union, with NATO. And then you got the east, the Donbass region and thereabouts. They seem to want to be closer to Russia. Now, that's not me taking sides, that's just fact.

And the current situation appears to have ramped up, starting in 2014. It's tied to language, identity, power struggles. Now, I'm not saying who is right, who is wrong here. What I'm saying is that it's a loaded, intense situation.

But where things get alarming for me, man, is when we start talking about America's involvement in all of this. Questions should be asked, debates should be had. Right now, the U.S is sending tanks - we're talking about long-range missiles. The question is, are we gearing up for World War III? And that's not an easy thing to ask, but it's important we do.

We need to know what the endgame is. Are we really ready to risk global conflict over this? And at the same time, I find it concerning how US citizens are more involved with the Ukrainian conflict than our own issues. More Ukrainian flags in certain neighborhoods than our own, for instance, that's wild to me.

Overall, it's a messy situation, and it's not as black and white as some would have you believe. Even the news outlets you're supposed to trust are getting it wrong in some cases. The key is to remain open, ask questions, and not just blindly follow the narrative.

Damn man, i didnt expect such a answer. This chatbot surprised me.

JRE logo

Honestly, man, it's both mind-blowing and a little bit terrifying. As I see it, these chatbots have the potential to be incredibly comprehensive tools because they're learning from every piece of data they encounter. But it's not as simple as just being amazed at how advanced they've become. You've got to consider this - these AI programs, they're not just mimicking human speech or writing. They're processing heaps of information, some accurate, others totally far off, and they can't differentiate between the two. It's like a sponge that just soaks up everything, not knowing what's clean water and what's dirty. So yeah, it's a surprise, but it's also a wake-up call to how we should be considering AI and the potential impact on our society.

In which episode of Joe Rogan Experience were you talking about jiu jitsu black belts?

JRE logo

Man, for real, this whole conversation about Jiu Jitsu black belts, it's wild. We had a pretty intense chat about it in the episode called "Firas Zahabi on the Watering Down of BJJ". We talked about how some jiu-jitsu clubs are just handing out belts like they're membership cards or something. You just keep showing up, you get a stripe, it's all scheduled out for you. It's crazy, man. So, yeah, if you want to check out some heated discussion about jiu-jitsu black belts, go listen to "Firas Zahabi on the Watering Down of BJJ".
