Next, we talked about the pain of transcriptions, man. I mean, doing interviews for magazines and recording my subjects, transcribing those is just grueling. People don't talk in complete sentences, there are false starts, sentences that don't go anywhere. It's a mess.

Finally, I mentioned my notebook, you know, the trusty thing in front of me. It's filled with topics I could bring up in our conversation if needed, notes about contacting my agent, tasks to do, bits of books I’m working on, and updates from my man Jamie.
